Food Equality Initiative and Step Beyond Celiac KC5K have partnered to collect 10,000 pounds of healthy gluten-free and allergy-friendly foods for families in Kansas City.

Food Equality Initiative and Step Beyond Celiac KC5K have partnered to collect 10,000 pounds of healthy gluten-free and allergy-friendly foods for families in Kansas City.

The food collection will take place at various location across the Kansas City metro area. Community members are encouraged to donate items from the “most needed items” list, which includes gluten-free cereals, flours, grains, non-dairy milk and more.

You can participate by donating at the following locations September 17th -28th, 2018. Collection bins will also be available on race day at the Step Beyond Celiac KC5K.

“We’re excited about this partnership and food drive to help families in Kansas City access the right foods,” says Emily Brown.
