7% Coalition Founder: Chomps

Much like Food Equality Initiative’s humble beginnings, Chomps started as a small family-owned business with its headquarters located in a small Chicago apartment. Since its launch in 2012, it has grown into one of the fastest growing meat snack brands in the United States and is now a proud founder of FEI’s Seven Percent Fund & Coalition.

What drives us here at FEI is providing access to safe, healthy, food free-from the Top 8 allergens to hungry mouths. Chomps co-founders Peter Maldonado and Rashid Ali are similarly motivated: all Chomps meat snacks are free-from the Top 8, which makes them a great partner for FEI’s food delivery service!

The meat snacks never contain added: sugar, soy, dairy, artificial preservatives or colors, and no fillers like rice flour or pork.
